Chris Rowse

Osteopathy

Chris graduated from a 4-year full time Osteopathic course in London in 1983 and moved back to New Zealand in 1984. Chris started working in Nelson but then moved to Christchurch. He worked there full time until 1999, establishing a Health Centre with up to 9 practitioners working there. He moved to Golden Bay in 1999 with his wife and together started Golden Bay Health Centre and have worked there since with multiple practitioners.

He trained as a yoga teacher prior to his Osteopathic training and encourages the use of specific stretching exercises with his treatments. He has lectured extensively to medical training and nursing courses, as well as health support and specialist groups. He has a particular empathy with chronic pain and spinal problems and enjoys helping people with hard to fix big or little pains and aches. I also treat babies and children as well as those of all ages.

Chris founded and directs an environmental charity, and along with his wife, Silvia Schneider-Rowse, have an organic orchard supplying local outlets. Chris enjoys golf, and together they enjoy walking, travel and time with their family and grandchildren.

Tudor Burchill

He is hands-on physiotherapist using “precise movement and strength analysis” that inform his selection of manual techniques. Detailed exercise prescription also complements his work, and he runs Pilates classes regularly – just contact him for details. He is a keen outdoors person and can often be found at Payne’s Ford climbing the cliffs there.

Inga takes a wholistic approach with the aim to improve overall function and wellbeing, and to enhance your body’s ability to heal itself. She uses a variety of techniques including amongst others Thompson drop, activator, as well as cranial sacral therapy.

Camilla Carr

Myofascial Remedial Massage

Camilla currently practices in Takaka and on-site. She sees clients for all aspects of massage, specialising in remedial, myo fascial, pregnancy, sport and deep tissue.

In 2022 Camilla certified in oncology massage and in 2023 gained certification in oncology scar therapy, helping clients with scars old and new, increasing range of motion and reducing scar tissue constriction. Camilla’s previous occupation as a chef for over 35years is still ongoing as she teaches online cooking classes at her glamping business in Takaka.
